Shredder, traduzido em português como Destruidor, ou Oroku Saki é um personagem fictício e o principal antagonista das historias das Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles e em toda a media relacionada. Ele é o arqui-inimigo das Tartarugas ao lado de Krang. Criado por Kevin Eastman e Peter Laird, apareceu pela primeira vez nos quadrinhos Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #1 (Maio de 1984). A ideia do Destruidor veio a Eastman quando este observou um ralador de queijo e imaginou um vilão que brandisse armas similares nos braços.



Em todas as suas incarnações nas histórias do universo de TMNT, o Shredder é o arqui-inimigo de Splinter e das Tartarugas ninja. Também é conhecido por ser o líder do grupo criminoso de Nova Iorque chamado Foot Clan.




Versão Mirage Comics

Nas histórias em quadrinhos originais, Oroku Nagi, irmão de Oroko Saki (na época com 7 anos), disputava com Hamato Yoshi, o amor de uma mulher chamada Tang Shen, porém Nagi nunca foi correspondido pois Tang Shen amava Hamato Yoshi. Um dia, em um ataque de fúria, Nagi atacou Tang Shen e Yoshi a defendeu, resultando na morte de Oroko Nagi. Envergonhado por ter matado um membro do Clã do Pé, Yoshi foge para os EUA com Shen, levando junto o seu rato de estimação, Splinter. Saki jura vingança e se associa ao Clã do Pé, tornando-se rapidamente o líder da parte americana do Clã. Após uma vida de muitos crimes, ele finalmente chega à Nova Iorque e vinga a morte de seu irmão, assassinando o casal, no entanto Splinter, o rato de estimação de Yoshi, foge para os esgotos, onde tempos depois, sofre uma mutação e adquire uma forma antropomórfica junto com as quatro tartarugas, após isso ele passa anos treinando as tartarugas ninja para um dia vingarem as mortes de Yoshi e Shen. Ao final da primeira edição, as Tartarugas encontram o Destruidor, 15 anos depois, e a pedido de Splinter, o desafiam e o matam.

Shredder, translated in Portuguese as Destroyer, or Oroku Saki is a fictional character and the main antagonist of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles stories and in all related media. He is the Turtles' archenemy alongside Krang. Created by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird, it first appeared in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #1 (May 1984). 

The idea for the Shredder came to Eastman when he observed a cheese grater and envisioned a villain wielding similar weapons in his arms. At one point or another, in all of his incarnations in the TMNT stories, the Shredder is the archenemy of Splinter and the Turtles. He is also known for being the leader of the New York branch of the Foot Clan criminal group. Mirage Comics In the original comics, Oroku Nagi, brother of Oroko Saki (7 years old at the time), disputed with Hamato Yoshi, the love of a woman named Tang Shen, but Nagi was never reciprocated because Tang Shen loved Hamato Yoshi. One day, in a fit of rage, Nagi attacked Tang Shen and Yoshi defended her, resulting in the death of Oroko Nagi. 

Ashamed of having killed a member of the Foot Clan, Yoshi flees to the US with Shen, taking his pet rat, Splinter, with him. Saki vows revenge and joins the Foot Clan, quickly becoming leader of the American part of the Clan. 

After a life of many crimes, he finally arrives in New York and avenges his brother's death, murdering the couple, however Splinter, Yoshi's pet mouse, escapes into the sewers, where later on, he mutates and acquires an anthropomorphic form along with the four turtles, after which he spends years training the ninja turtles to one day avenge the deaths of Yoshi and Shen. At the end of the first issue, the Turtles meet Shredder 15 years later, and at Splinter's request, challenge and kill him.
